Tom Crawshaw has served on CNR's Board of Directors since 1999, and he currently is a member of the compensation committee and audit committee. Crawshaw's chemical industry background began in 1964 when he joined Diamond Alkali Co., in Ashtabula, Ohio as a chemical engineer. His career at Diamond Alkali, Diamond Shamrock, and Occidental Chemical Co. (OxyChem), spanned 38 years with broad experience in engineering, plant management, sales, and business management.
He spent 25 years in regional sales management and business management, selling and/or marketing industrial chemicals across the United States. Crawshaw also led project teams tasked with developing and integrating hi-tech information technology at OxyChem.
Crawshaw worked for one year at CNR (2002-2003), evaluating new opportunities, and leading the company's acquisition and integration of the Laguna Salada business into CNR. He states that his long association with CNR has been personally very rewarding. "I have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in the unique financial, operational, and market challenges that CNR has faced in its evolution. I continue to be impressed with how CNR's management has addressed the difficulties and opportunities in operating this independent chemicals manufacturing and marketing operation."
Crawshaw has lived in Highland Village, Texas with his wife, Cindy, since 1990, where he spends his spare time developing his photography hobby, gardening, and planning their frequent travels to visit grandchildren, or to hunt elk, deer, and upland birds.
